The
restoration and redevelopment of City Place in 1999 is a perfect
example of turning history into Class A office space. Located
in the emerging warehouse district of downtown Durham, City
Place is a showcase for Zapolski + Rudd's East Coast headquarters
and home to nearly a dozen businesses.
Originally
built in 1926, City Place is registered with the National
Register of Historic Places. The tower (pictured above), a
five story structure located in the front portion of the property,
served as a training facility for the City of Durham Fire
Department for many years.
